Not every professional drone platform or application fits within a standard docking solution. Dimensions, environmental conditions, security requirements, charging technology, and system integration can vary significantly from one project to another.
With the Custom Dock, Nest-Fly develops the docking infrastructure around the drone and its operational requirements. Wherever possible, existing technology is combined with custom engineering, so that landing, charging, protection, and dock control do not need to be developed as an entirely new technical platform.
Customisation without locking everything in
A Custom Dock starts with the drone platform and the way it needs to be deployed. Nest-Fly assesses the technical and operational requirements and then determines which existing docking technologies can be applied and where custom engineering is required.
This results in a solution in which mechanics, charging technology, protection, climate control, dock control, and system integration are developed as one integrated system.
A custom solution does not necessarily mean that the entire infrastructure becomes dependent on a single drone platform. Where technically feasible, the Custom Dock is designed modularly, allowing existing dock control, site connections, and customer integrations to be retained when switching to another supported drone platform. This enables the docking infrastructure to adapt as the drone platform or operation evolves.
